Families and people with disabilities have learned that an essential tool in bringing about a full, meaningful, included lifeishaving a well defined and articulated vision to focus, guide, and inspire action in the face of attitudinal obstacles and other set-backs.This presentation is encouraging, informative, and will help participants to conceptualize a positive vision. The personal experiences of people with disabilities and their families around the power of holding a vision will be shared. 

About Darcy Elks:

Darcy is an educator, consultant, human service evaluator, and an advocate on behalf of people who are societally devalued. Shehas traveled extensively and consulted and taught in many different countries. Darcy is a parent with lots personal experience. She has first hand experience with the importance of developing and using a vision as a guide. Darcy lives in West Chester PA with her husband. Darcy is a parent of 3 young adults each of whom who live with different disabilities. She will share her experiences throughout the presentation.
